Jurnal Ekonomi dan Perbankan Syariah is a scholarly journal published by Islamic Banking Department, School of Islamic Economics STEI SEBI The JEPS journal has been issued since 2013 and it’s have published twice in a year in April and October. The journal has been publishing scholarly papers since 2013. Starting in 2018 onwards, we encourage authors to only submit research papers written in good-read English academic writing. The journal is designed to provide a forum for researchers or academicians and also practitioners who are interested in knowledge and in discussing ideas, issues and challenges in the field of Islamic economic and banking. To solve the problem of the ummah and to provide the solution for the gap between the theories and practices. The scope or coverage of this journal will include but are not limited to Islamic economics, Islamic business, Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, Islamic wealth management, issues on shariah implementation/practices of Islamic banking, zakat and awqaf, takaful, Islamic corporate finance, shariah-compliant risk management, Islamic derivatives, issues of Shariah Supervisory Boards, Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

Peer to peer lending is an investment model that is developing in various countries, including Indonesia. This investment model has many advantages in terms of effectiveness so that it can make it easier for users to apply it. Moreover, peer to peer lending investment in Indonesia has a financing target for MSMEs so that this investment model can help finance in the microeconomic cycle. The convenience provided by the peer to peer lending investment model should be an attraction for people who are just starting investment such as students. Before investing, potential investors should have sufficient knowledge about investing in order to avoid the risk of failure that causes losses. This study aims to determine the effect of investment knowledge on the interests of STEI SEBI students investing peer to peer lending. The research method used is a quantitative mixture that is supported by qualitative data and data processed using SPSS ver. 23. The results of this study indicate that the T-test results of -0.200 and the significance value of 0.842. So it can be concluded that investment knowledge does not have a significant effect on students' interest in investing peer to peer lending. The results of the study are supported by data from interview results, which show that negative relationship results are not significant because one of them is theoretically not so influential if there is no its applicative science.

Abstract

One form of economic activity carried out by humans is trade. It can be said that trade is the oldest activity carried out by humans in fulfilling their daily needs. Mecca at that time was a major international trade and shopping center, and Islam was born in the militia of Mecca trade. Once the Islamic attachment to trading activities, many narratives of the verses of the Qur'an seemed to be directed at the merchants. Qur'an was first addressed to the merchants reflected in the language and ideas". More specifically, disclosure of trade in the Qur'an can be found through lafadz bai 'and tijarah. In the following article a thematic review of lafadz bai 'and tijarah and its derivatives is presented, which is analyzed using the Makkiyyah and Madaniyyah studied tematic. In the Qur'an the verses which reveal lafaz bai 'in various variations are contained in eleven verses scattered in different letters, while the Disclosure of lafadz tijarah in the verses of the Qur'an is mentioned eight times in seven letters. The form of disclosure of the Lafadz is entirely the same in the form of mashdar (تجارة).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of E-marketing with the AISAS model on investment decisions. This research using quantitative research. Data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires to 30 respondents, who had or were investing in registered Islamic Fintechs in the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, while the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach is using a data analysis technique. Data is processed using PLS 3.2.8. Based on the results of data analysis, the Attention variable has a significant effect on the Interest variable. Also, the Interest variable has a significant effect on the Search variable. Then, the Search variable has a significant effect on the Action variable, while the Action variable has not a significant effect on the Share variable. The Share variable has not a significant effect on investment decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic effectiveness of Zakat collection carried out by West Java BAZNAS. In this study the author uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques that are descriptive analysis. The data used in this study were obtained from the results of observations at the place of research, direct interviews with related sources, and collection of documentation as data collection techniques in this study. The results and findings of this study indicate that the collection of zakat made has a decrease. Where there are internal factors of West Java BAZNAS that have not been optimal and public awareness in carrying out zakat is still low. This research is expected to be a reference for zakat institutions, academics, and the public about the need for support in collecting zakat.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence of organizational culture and satisfaction on the performance of employees at KSPPS Dana Ukhuwah. This study uses correlative or correlational models with the quantitative type of qualitative research. Based on the primary data in the form of questionnaires distributed to employees and secondary data in the form of journals, books and etc. By using Multiple Linear Regression analysis, it can be seen the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable partially and the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable simultaneously. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, organizational culture variables have a positive and significant influence on employee performance partially and conversely the satisfaction variable does not have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, simultaneously organizational culture and satisfaction have sufficient influence on employee performance.

Abstract

As known, the competition between banks in Indonesia is increasingly tight. Making each bank in various ways such as developing products, improving services, procuring promos, etc., continues to be carried out to get potential customers for the continuity of their business. Only banks are able to attract new consumers and retain old consumers who may be able to grow and develop for long periods of time. Therefore, it becomes a challenge for sharia bank marketers in creating marketing strategies in accordance with Islamic law. In this case, one of the things that can be done by Islamic bank marketers is to approach the community by identifying whether or not there are customers of conventional banks who want to move to Islamic banks. This study aims to determine the effect of customer perceptions of Islamic banks and variety seeking on the customer intention to switch from conventional banks to Islamic banks. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted by distributing questionnaires to all Muslim society in Bekasi City. Sampling is done by judgmental sampling technique so that it gets 101 samples. The research method used is quantitative associative research and data is processed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that only variable perception society about the bank sharia who influential significant effect on the customer intention to switch from conventional banks to Islamic banks, while variety seeking does not have a significant effect on the customer intention to switch from conventional banks to Islamic banks.
